Office Hours / Guard FDN Members Town Hall

What’s up Guardians,

I posted an anonymous poll in The Guard Fan Club chat asking if a monthly Guard FDN members only call would be useful or not.

Here are the results:
34 votes (including mine)
88% yes
12% no

So, I’m thinking of writing a Guardian Foundation Proposal to either re-instate Office Hours Calls with Special Counsel or start a new monthly gathering if that’s no longer an option.

Reasons:

  1. request for a grant to do the work, f > i > p in authoring GFPs, solving problems for myself & FDN, and giving back to community

  2. officially welcome new members, address questions, update, etc

  3. i feel like the community would benefit from gathering in a town hall (even if it’s only virtual for now)

  4. the new internet brings back the wild wild west. In my opinion, the sooner we get to know each other, the better for the community.

  5. keep the conversations, ideas, and momentum flowing

What are your thoughts on this?
